Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Office of the Dean within the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM).
Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer, the pharmacy technician performs a variety of technical functions for the clinical research project. Responsible for reviewing, logging and safeguarding study medications at the core research site.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Accurately records and tracks medication orders into the research study's computer system.
Fills study medication bottles with the correct medication prior to each shipment.
Restocks and manages research study medications and supplies according to the research study protocol and regulatory guidelines.
Supports the recruitment, enrollment, and follow-up components of the research study.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least one (1) year of pharmacy experience as a Pharmacy Technician or graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be very organized and have a working knowledge of research studies.
Demonstrated ability to interact with researchers, participants, and stakeholders.
Ability to communicate and solve problems is essential.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and reach storage.
