Barrow-Agee Laboratories was incorporated in 1917 in Memphis, Tennessee by Edward Barrow and Worthen Agee ' the third and fifth Presidents of the American Oil Chemists Society, respectively ' as a privately held and independent testing laboratory.

The Supervisor - Microbiology position is responsible for performing timely microbiological analyses on client samples per their request; perform all appropriate quality control measures to ensure accuracy of results; prepare microbiological media and reagents as needed. This is a working supervisor positions that requires interacting with, lab management, quality, safety and client services to fulfill the mission of providing accurate results on-time every time.
Standards of Performance
Ensures completion of all microbiology samples on day of receipt
Acceptable results received on all proficiency samples analyzed
Strong organization, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and support a team
Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise in data entry and 10-key skills and with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and provide specific instructions within department
