We are seeking a PART- TIME Clinical Research Coordinator. for Meaning Centered Psychotherapy Training Program Clinical Research Coordinator
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will be an integral member of the research team in the Psychotherapy Laboratory in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). This role will focus primarily on assisting with the implementation of a training program designed to provide intensive training in the principles, techniques and applications of Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy (MCP), an existentially based treatment developed at MSKCC, to clinicians who provide psychosocial care to cancer patients. The two-day intensive training involves didactic lectures given by experts in Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy, an overview of the MCP manual, case examples, and participation in live supervised demonstrations with actors. The CRC will support all logistical aspects of training program and training day activities which may be conducted in person or virtually.
The CRC will assist with all aspects of implementing and conducting this project. The specific responsibilities will include:
Assists with coordination of all activities during training sessions. Executes detailed training operations plan and manages the training day to achieve established goals and timelines, and post training activities.
Manages and carries out follow-up data collection according to the study assessment plan; Monitors progress and sends reminders to participants for the data collection; Collects data on follow-up training program participation (i.e. clinician self report and qualitative data, clinical implementation data, program follow up training participation tracking, etc.). Manages study databases and assessment surveys.
Assists with the maintenance of all necessary IRB regulatory documents and IRB correspondence and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Aids in data reporting (ie program progress, outcome reports) for program stakeholders, sponsoring agency, Institutional Review Board, etc., as needed.
Provides regular reports to the Project Manager and PI regarding study progress and challenges and works with the team to address any problems that arise.
Administratively manages all technological aspects of the project related to the Program website and discussion board; Helps develop training materials for the training program website and monitors program website discussion board;
Reviews clinicians applications to participate in the MCPT program with PI and Program Manager. Manages application related communication with participants. Manages enrollment, waitlists, and communication with potential participants.
Coordinates with participants, schedules the MCPT training sessions, and arranges space for the training or facilitates use of virtual training platform.
Prepares all necessary training materials, such as powerpoint presentations, training booklets, relevant articles, and course handouts.
Manages scheduling of training personnel and actors that will facilitate trainings.
Ensures training participants receive CME credits and manages travel reimbursement
Conducts literature searches to stay up-to-date on program implementation literature and to contribute to any manuscripts being prepared on the results of the project.
Bachelors degree or higher is required
Experience and comfort working with databases, social media. Prior experience with REDCap database, website development, and Zoom platform is helpful.
