Rutgers, the State University Of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Student Assistant for the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology within the School of Public Health (SPH).
The Student Assistant will work under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie Shiau. The Student Assistant will assist Dr. Shiau with research projects addressing HIV-associated comorbidities, coinfections, and complications in infants, children, youth, and adults with HIV.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Must be highly motivated to obtain background knowledge in HIV and other areas relevant to research projects.
Assists with data management, data analysis, and creation of tables and figures.
Assists with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, publications, reports and presentations.
Provides updates on research progress in an organized and timely manner.
Prepares and maintain IRB regulatory documents and IRB submissions.
Provides administrative research support to ongoing data collection.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Must be a current Rutgers student.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess quantitative analytic skills and have appropriate training in epidemiology and/or biostatistics.
Must have experience with both SAS and R programming.
Must have good communication skills.
Previous experience with Zotero, Qualtrics, RedCap, and human subjects research.
Interest in HIV and infectious diseases.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds.
