Oversees all aspects of the health-system's retail and specialty pharmacy operations. The Manager is responsible for the operation of the retail and specialty pharmacy, including strategic planning, day-to-day operations, pharmaceutical care, clinical and distributive services, financial management, licensure and regulatory responsibility and personnel management. The individual in this position leads the members of the team to ensure that all patients' needs for retail and specialty pharmaceutical services, both clinical and distributive, are met. The Manager continually evaluates the programs for growth opportunities to support patient care needs across the enterprise. Monitors the quality of services provided; assures compliance with practice standards; audits the revenue cycle; and develops and implements the department's goals.
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy; PharmD degree preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of specialty pharmacy and/or retail pharmacy experience required.
Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacy managerial experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications for position
Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Tennessee with license in good standing, or eligible for licensure.
Board certification preferred.

Medium lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 100 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
