The Director, Laboratory Services (CLS - QA/Regulatory/Compliance) will be responsible for the overall quality, regulatory, and compliance program throughout the hospital and clinic settings. The Director will oversee the ongoing survey readiness and education of all levels of staff in regulatory, accreditation, and organizational expectation. In addition, this position will be responsible to develop, implement, maintain and continually assess a Clinical quality assurance function and a quality management system for applicable regulated activities to meet internal company standards and external regulatory and customer requirements.
Minimum Education:â¢Bachelorâs Degree in Medical Technology or related fieldâ¢Masterâs degree in related field preferredMinimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢Five (5) to Seven (7) years of hospital laboratory management experience and knowledge of ongoing survey readiness and survey processes to include federal regulations, state regulations, and College of American Pathologist (CAP) surveys and standards.â¢Experience must also include quality management with a focus on Laboratory Compliance and Quality processesâ¢Experience and knowledge of ongoing survey readiness and survey processes to include federal regulations, state regulations, and College of American Pathologist (CAP) surveys and standards.â¢Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Required License/Certification:â¢Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist License required. â¢ASCP certification preferred.â¢LA City Fire and Safety Certification. If no certification upon hire, must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
