Advertised Job Summary:
To conduct research on various projects in the Nagarkatti lab to include research aimed at examining the role of epigenome in mediating immunomodulation in patients with various diseases such as PTSD, COVID-19, sepsis, etc. and in determining the effects of plant products in models of inflammatory diseases. In addition, studies will involve assessing the microbiome following exposure to toxicants. Routinely on advice from principal investigators, works with students and other laboratory personnel on current methods, ongoing experiments and future research directions, write manucripts, help prepare grant applications, progress reports, and ensure regulatory and compliance issues. Maintains accurate and detailed records of laboratory experiments and presents these in informal laboratory discussions, group meetings, formal scientific symposia and publications. Coordinates scientific meetings and research retreats to facilitate collaborations among faculty, students, postdoctoral fellows and technologists.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or related field, and a record of scholarship, especially experience working with patient samples and experimental models.
