Second Shift Options: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
The purpose of this position is to provide support for the MRO department. This individual must comply with approved company policies and procedures, and job skills. 70% of time spent on floor with spare parts, 30% of time in office.
The scope of this position includes, but not limited to:
To maintain up to date inventory accuracy
To manage all spare parts on campus
Provide items when requested either ahead of time, or as a rush request
Support the management of inventory for campus-wide facilities:
Run the INV PICK REPORT every day and ensure we have the items needed for work orders to be pulled ahead of time. Kit spare parts for preventative maintenance work orders.
Perform cycle counting activities when scheduled.
Research new/existing spare parts to ensure accuracy of database information.
Send out and follow up with vendors on any items we send out for repair/recertification.
Update data loader spreadsheets.
Approve, reserve, and deliver the desktop requisitions.
Perform all returns to stock of unused items that come from work orders or desktop requisitions.
Specialize and take ownership of managing inventory.
Maintain documents associated with MRO activities:
Ensure that all documentation is scanned in a timely manner.
Copy documents on request.
Assist in inspection requests for spare parts documentation i.e., Audits upon request
Process emails and requests from technicians, planners or manufacturing.
Assist in the search and location for items needed on the fly or in preparation.
Maintain safety standards, policies and culture:
Must always work with an awareness of your personal safety and the safety of fellow employees.
Perform any duties as required by MRO supervisor, including audit support, training requirements, safety requirements, actively participate in continuous improvement projects, etc.
B.S. Technical Field, or equivalent experience, if preferred.
Materials and Lean experience required.
Strong computer skills Excel Spreadsheet, Word, PowerPoint.
Strong communication skill: both verbal and written.
This position also requires excellent organizational skills, and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the company.
Must have the ability work independently and efficiently.
Functional experience using GMARS system.
Must also understand supply management, and logistics.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Working knowledge of GMP.
Minimum 2 years' experience handling inventory or technical documentation.
Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years MRO experience.
1 year of warehouse experience preferred including forklift experience.
