· Perform detailed functional and non-functional analysis (data, systems and interfaces). Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and designs seeking efficient and effective solutions to business problems.
· Take responsibility for the delivery of technical artefacts to quality, to plan and to specifications. Ensure that there is regular communications on progress and status updates.
Assist in the definitions of operating models (where applicable), for implementation at a local and global level
Analyse and manage the technical impact and scope of changing requirements
Implement design, coding and testing best practices/standards within the deliverables to the Front Office business team.
Operate within a technical peer review environment to ensure the quality of deliverables meets HSBC internal IT controls, process and governance.
· Own and support the design & development, systems testing and UAT.
Ensure smooth transition to live operations in conjunction with production support teams
· Understand stakeholder needs and communicate to all stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Contribute to establishing usability and good UI/UX design as an important discipline in the technical deliverables.
Comply with all internal/external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behaviour
Production, quality assurance and sign-off of all documents required as part of the project lifecycle.
Validate documented requirements with all stakeholders and ensure shared accessibility to all stakeholders.
