JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the ProgramDirector for the Tennessee Clinical & Translational Science Institute(TN-CTSI), this position develops and manages strategies for recruitment andcommunity engagement across the state and diverse populations.
Oversees the Recruitment Innovation Center (RIC) and protocols for recruitment strategies.
Develops and implements recruitment plans, screening tools, and strategies for projects.
Assists with collection of metrics data using the TN-CTSI database to ensure goals of recruitment plans are being met. Tracks efficiency of recruitment approaches.
Reviews recruitment budgets developed for projects and makes recommendations.
Oversees the collection of data needed to identify best practices as it relates to community engagement. Prepares various activity reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as needed.
Plans, develops, and implements communication strategies, materials, and advertisements to increase community knowledge of research activities. Conducts UTHSC and public webinars, training sessions, events, etc. to increase research interest and knowledge
Arranges and participates in community events that enhance community engagement.
Collaborates with locally affiliated groups public relations efforts to address issues affecting the well-being of the people of the community. Affiliate with local/national community engagement committees to improve strategies and outcome.
Ensures regulatory compliance with recruitment and community engagement activities
Arranges for and conducts public-contact programs designed to meet research project objectives, utilizing knowledge of changing attitudes and opinions of consumers, clients, employees, or other interest groups.
Oversees and develops staff work plans and the training of recruitment staff. Directs day-to-day work duties/activities, assists evaluate performance, and addresses/resolves concerns.
Assists maintain the CTSI website, blackboard, and you tube channel regarding recruitment and community engagement activities and strategies. Assists researchers when utilizing researchmatch.org.
Performs other related duties as required.
