This role is based in BlackRock's Wilmington, Delaware location. The successful candidate will be part of a global team, supporting U.S. based mutual funds and money markets. The role is multi-functional and includes responsibility for collaborating with various teams across BlackRock to support the full life cycle of the funds including reviewing, managing and approval of Fund expenses, related to transfer agency activities. Additional responsibilities entail working closely with our transfer agent providers to ensure data integrity of shareholder trades and supporting the Portfolio Managers in understanding their day to day cash flows.
Validate invoices against fee schedules and approve payments to ensure accurate and timely payment to vendors
Monitor, research and resolve cash flow breaks on BlackRock's Aladdin Dashboard, in coordination with the Cash Reconciliation Team and BlackRock's transfer agency providers
Validate and accurately communicate large trade notifications to Portfolio Managers, including input and/or removal of large trades in the Aladdin Dashboard
Coordinate across the Firm to support fund launches, transitions and terminations and ensure actions are being executed accurately
Review prospectuses and annual reports to ensure accuracy of and provide direction on operational and transfer agent related information
Compile and review of reporting needed to satisfy regulatory requirements, internal client inquiries and performance calculations
Build, maintain and distribute dividend, product and fund action calendars
Investigate and resolve daily operational queries, issues and incidents relating to the transfer agent functions
Craft and update written procedures
Other tasks as assigned
1-5 years, mutual fund operations experience and knowledge of transfer agency operations
Excellent organization, communication and writing skills
Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify problems and develop solutions
Acute attention to detail, understanding of downstream processes and the ability to work independently
Demonstrate an affinity for teamwork and collaboration
Proficient Excel skills
Investment company and financial reporting experience a plus
Strong reconciliation skills a plus
Experience / Proficiency with Robotic Processing Automation strongly preferred
