The College of Medicine, Department of Radiology is recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE) Clinical Research Imaging Coordinator for the Imaging Research Lab. The Imaging Coordinator coordinates and participates in grant-funded research and/or industry-sponsored clinical research studies in the Department of Radiology including multicenter clinical trials and administers a variety of complex activities involved in the collection, compilation, and documentation of imaging research data.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist with various activities of imaging core lab for department of Radiology. • Collaborate with study PIs, StrokeNET National coordinating center (NCC), and the national data management center (NDMC) and performance site trial team members to ensure successful conduct of clinical trials by managing daily imaging related study activities. • Interact with clinical site personnel about matters concerning upload and receipt of imaging studies including different modalities such as CT, MRI, DSA • Maintain database/tracking tools which track site imaging upload as well as other elements pertinent to the imaging platforms such as QA/QC of the study imaging studies. • Serve as a liaison between site personnel, the PI, the NCC, and the NDMC trial management teams to enforce adherence to imaging study protocols. • Assist in the development and maintenance of the trial imaging manual and MOP. • Assist in the coordination of conference calls, such as the steering, executive, and scientific advisory committees, and face-to-face investigator meetings or other national meetings. • Interface with data management team regarding imaging data points. • Participate in site initiation visits and staff training for the imaging component as deemed necessary for the trial. • Work closely with Vice chair of Research to build and grow the Imaging Research Lab in Department of Radiology.
Skills and Characteristics Needed: • Ability to assist with the coordination of research studies with a focus on imaging • Ability to make independent contributions to projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience. • Must be able to interact with study sites in a professional manner. • Can accomplish work under general direction. • Capable of advising and explaining information to others. • Ability to manage moderately complex projects. • Ability to work with the Imaging core lab leadership and personnel to accomplish the necessary imaging core lab tasks, in addition to short- and long-term goals. • Adherence to core values that were designed to create and maintain a positive work environment: Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.
Qualifications and Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences or an equivalent combination education/experience. • One year related experience, preferably in an academic or clinical setting
Preferred qualifications: • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in clinical research or similar experience in medical field preferred. • Proficiency with regulatory guidelines for clinical trials preferred. • Proven organizational ability and strong attention to detail. • Demonstrates decision-making and problem-solving skills. • Excellent time-management skills, communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral), and computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint are required.
