M Health Fairview has an opening for an experienced HIM Representative II in the Honoring Choices Department supporting Advance Care Planning across the system. This position will provide both staff and patient support both remote (4 days/week) and in our Edina office (one day/week).
This position will be onsite on Fridays and the hours will be 8:30am to 5:00pm.
This is a full time (1.0 FTE, 40 Hours/Week), benefits - eligible opening,
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Obtain, analyze, validate and scan patient documents and update demograhicsinformation from a variety of external and internal information sources in the electronic medical record according to established protocols;
Assist in maintaining databases and associated files and records on a regular basis according to established procedures and regulatory requirements;
Perform quality reviews of HIM-related processes;
Team operations support including management of department in-box and phone.
Education: Associates Degree in Health Information Management or related field, or comparable HIM work experience
Experience: HIT Degree, HIM-related certification, or two years of HIM experience, working knowledge in Epic and/or OnBase processes
Education: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Health Information Management
Experience: HIT Degree and two years in Health Information Management
