What You'll Be Doing - The Minerals Technician supports the mica processing units to achieve key operational goals and targets while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and environmental compliance. The Minerals Technician is r esponsible for the operation and monitoring of a mica beneficiation plant to produce a desired quality and quantity of product.
We are seeking a safety conscious, highly motivated and team-oriented individual with a continuous improvement mindset to become part of a dynamic work environment.
Execute Plant pre-shifts, start-up/ shutdown operations, and lock out procedures.
Move raw material using heavy equipment (dozers, front end loaders, etc.)
Perform lubrication, autonomous maintenance, and waste oil management activities on various types of process equipment.
Manage/ monitor Plant feed systems using pumps, valves, and automation software.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Shine With Colors & Effects! Do You Have What It Takes?
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to think critically, troubleshoot, and work with limited supervision.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to hear to decipher communication and detect potential problems with machines.
Must be able to lift 60 lbs., walk, sit, squat, bend, push/pull with arms/legs, body, reach overhead and stoop.
Must be able to work in variable climate temperatures.
Experience in heavy equipment operation.
Knowledge of manufacturing processing procedures and equipment utilized to manufacture raw material products.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
Do you have a Class B CDL license. Great!
Are you familiar with PLC based control systems. That is a plus.
