Reporting to the Director of HRBPs (Human Resources Business Partners), this position functions as a subject matter expert and provides consulting services to Central HRBPs, campus managers, supervisors and employees regarding compensation, classification, and other ancillary pay issues. The position assists in the coordination with leadership/management on organizational and staff development issues related to the University's classification and compensation programs. Interprets and applies Human Resources Policy and Procedures, as well as Collective Bargaining Agreements and state and federal law as they relate to compensation. Conducts job evaluations and compensation analyses, and develops communications and resources as needed. Assists the HRBPs and HR consultants with planning and implementation for new classification programs and strategies for the campus as requested. Ensures compliance with all federal employment laws as well as regulatory agency requirements. Develops training as necessary and required. Uses skills and experience as a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of compensation concepts. Resolves complex issues in imaginative and practical ways where analysis of situations and data requires a review of a variety of factors. General instructions may be provided on new assignments and initiatives.

Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of data, identification of trends, and documentation of findings.
Skill and experience to provide high level consultation on classification and compensation issues to a wide range of clients in a diplomatic and confidential manner.
Demonstrated skill to maintain discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
Demonstrated written communication skills to produce procedures, reports, job analyses, memos that are clear, concise and logical exhibiting correct use of syntax and grammar.
