A seasoned and experienced Project Manager is required to help deliver Project 1 (2nd Line Improvement and Stabilisation), within its wider Financial Crime Transformation Programme, which also includes projects relating to financial crime remediation and an enterprise-wide financial crime operating model. Project 1 focuses on changes to the 2nd line Financial Crime Compliance function, including the revision of the team's operating model and the rebuild of management information, as well as on delivering important updates to the firm's financial crime framework such as financial crime standards and an updated financial crime risk assessment.
Working closely with the FC Transformation Lead, the Group Director of FCC, the BAU FCC team and the project team. you will be responsible for the end to end delivery Project 1. Responsibilities will include:
Planning & Delivery:
Identifying stakeholder and business requirements, scoping project activities and producing and maintaining detailed plans, as well as risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAIDs).
Managing day-to-day delivery against those plans, including coordinating SME activities and input, coordinating the efficient use of the Project 1 BAs across all areas of project work and identifying any additional project resource requirements.
Collecting and collating project progress reporting and other project MI, including chairing weekly delivery meetings and providing updates to the programme.
Identifying and escalating any issues, blockers or decisions to the Transformation Lead and to the Project 1 SteerCo, as required.
Facilitating/leading meetings and workshops as required to support the project and ensuring the outputs are recorded and documented in a timely manner.
Maintaining regular and structured communication with all members of the project team, including communicating any issues impacting the project.
Maintaining effective project communication with the BAU FCC team and other areas of the business, working with Project 1 dedicated SMEs to achieve this and ensuring wider business stakeholders are kept informed and involved, as appropriate.
Governance & Reporting:
Ensuring appropriate governance is applied to Project 1, including scheduling governance meetings, setting agendas, creating papers, chairing meetings, and managing minutes and actions.
Providing support to programme level governance, including scheduling meetings, working with the Transformation Lead on the creation of papers, and managing minutes and actions.
Tracking the application of appropriate governance to other projects in the programme, including collecting required inputs for programme level reporting.
Acting as the main interface between the programme and the Transformation Office. for monthly programme reporting on status, milestones, RAIDs and change control.
Managing the programme's reporting calendar to a range of internal committees and governance bodies, ensuring appropriate draft updates are provided to the Transformation Lead for review and that reports are submitted in a timely fashion.
Financial Services industry knowledge and experience is a must and experience with Asset Management/Insurance industry is a plus.
Good working knowledge or prior experience of working in Financial Crime
Experience of working on large and complex change programmes in the financial services industry.
Experience of engaging/communicating with senior stakeholders.
Experience of working within second line function and/or financial crime or in regulatory change programmes.
Experience of preparing papers and presenting at steering committee level.
Experience of managing delivery of multiple workstreams, directing and deploying pooled resources across workstreams.
Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
