Reporting to the Co-Director of the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center, the Program Coordinator, Clinical Research and Administration will play a key role in a variety of aspect of the Berrie Center. This position's responsibilities will be in clinical research, grants management and administration. While the responsibilities of this position are varied, they are all essential to the successful management and execution of portions of the clinical research program, as well as the general running of the Berrie Center.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Enter study data into the applicable database
Notify potential research subjects regarding all study aspects relevant to them
Keep track of study activities to make sure compliance with protocols and with all related regulatory and institutional polices.
Enroll subjects in the study as per the study protocol
Prepare or get involved in quality assurance audits performed by study sponsors or regulatory authorities
Arrange space for study equipment and other trial related material.
Keep in touch with sponsors to schedule and coordinate site visits or to answer queries
Recruit and consent research subjects
Attend diabetes walks, seminars and camps to screen participants
Serve as liaison between the clinical research teams and the Chief Financial Officer in the collection of information relating to grants
Work with Chief Financial Officer on grant renewals
Order supplies for the Berrie Center lab and clinical research teams
Track and process credentialing for clinicians
Assist in the insurance incentive program
Manage necessary records of study related activity which includes case report forms
Labeling, processing, storage, and/or shipment of samples
Assist the Berrie Center Co-Director in the scheduling and execution of executive level meetings, conferences and events etc.
Provide additional administrative support as necessary
Applicant must meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant:
Requires a bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience or equivalent in education and experience.
Excellent communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
Must be able to take initiative and work independently, as well as partner within a team.
Must have experience managing research data.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office software suite.
Experience in diabetes is a plus
