OHRP is recruiting for a policy analyst in its Division of Policy and Assurances. OHRP provides leadership in the protection of the rights, welfare, and well-being of subjects involved in research conducted or supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. OHRP helps to ensure this by providing clarification and guidance, developing educational programs and materials, maintaining regulatory oversight, and providing advice on ethical and regulatory issues in biomedical and socio-behavioral research.
As a policy analyst in OHRP, this individual will conduct and complete analyses and other studies on varied topics related to human subject protection and participate in the development and implementation of HHS programs and policies for the protection of human research subjects, among other things.
The position will be open to applicants from August 31, 2020 to September 16, 2020. Please note that this job will close to additional applications when we have received 300 applications, which may be sooner than the September 16, 2020 closing date.
Telework is permitted as determined by the agency’s policy. Currently, the Office for the Assistant Secretary for Health policy permits one day a week of telework, except during a crisis.
