The Director of Medical Imaging oversees all radiology activities in the hospital. The role is responsible for developing and implementing a vision for the department, ensuring that the department meets or exceeds all quality, regulatory, financial, and growth goals. The department may consist of radiology, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, MRI, cardiology, breast imaging, interventional radiology, RIS, radiology admitting and cardiac cath. The department supports inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments at USC-VHH. The incumbent is expected to focus on continuous development of the department including coaching and mentoring employees, implementing processes to meet all quality/regulatory requirements, identifying growth opportunities, and improving financial performance
Minimum Education:- Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, preferred.- Masterâs degree in health related or business management field, preferred.- Current registration and license required.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:- Minimum five (5) years of management/supervisory experience in medical imaging technology.Required License/Certification:- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
