Summary: Plans, implements, evaluates and manages all aspects of the Security Services investigative program throughout the system.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days
Responsibilities: Manages the daily operations and ensures alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Initiates investigative inquiries and follows up on investigations in a timely manner. Provides direction of initial and ongoing security investigative efforts while ensuring quality controls are in place.
Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Collaborates with key stakeholders and business personnel to obtain data and related investigative information for research and analysis. Provides timely and informative briefings.
Consulting and training in investigative process and matters. Oversees the targeted violence threat assessment and management process, providing feedback and direction as appropriate. Conducts security risk assessment surveys, provides security consultation, and responds to security incidents.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree. Required Licensure/Certification: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) within 1 year of hire. Minimum Experience: 3 years of direct experience.
IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
