This Clinical Information Analyst, Associate position will collect, organize, analyze and report accurate clinical data, to federal agencies and organizations as well as Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy clinicians and staff, to support regulatory requirements and the clinical and research operations of the Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program.
Will include, but are not limited to the following:
Ability to organize, prioritize effectively and efficiently.
Collects clinical information from Michigan Medicine's electronic medical record (EMR) in order to complete data forms for federal agencies, (DHHS, CIBMTR, NMDP, FACT) for acute and long-term therapies.
Identifies, investigates and helps resolve problems with data audits for internal, CIBMTR and FACT accrediting agencies.
Enters clinical data into Michigan Medicine's internal software systems (VELOS, RedCap, etc.) and provides outcome analysis in programmatic reports.
Ongoing education on cellular immunotherapies (i.e. CARt, NK, Dendritic cells, etc.) and blood and marrow transplant treatment plans, corresponding. medications, and critical lab values for each of the diseases treating in this program and complies with FDA regulation and data submission.
Understands what data is necessary for various timepoints within patient's treatment plan (i.e. pre-Infusion, Day 100, Day 180, annual, death) and evaluates data against source documents.
Documents complications from transplants and cellular infusions, AE/SAE reporting, acute/chronic GVHD, Cytokine Release Syndrome, Neurotoxicity and pathology reports.
Prepares and submits forms to national registries each trimester.
Is up to date on emerging cellular therapies, new commercial products, and non-oncologic cell therapies along with Oncologic therapies as they relate to standards provided by federal agencies and programmatic vision.
Ability to provide coverage to other colleagues for vacation/sick leaves when needed.
Ability to maintain the Program leadership abreast of form completion, trimester deadlines, and form changes that impact how clinical data is collection in the EMR.
Applies all FACT standards that maintain our program accredited and participates in all FACT-related meetings for data management throughout the year. This includes preparing for at a minimum at one quality bi-monthly meeting and at the annual program quality meeting presented to clinic unit leadership.
Is able to interact with other clinical and research teams that need assistance in collecting data.
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in health or life science or significant experience (minimum 2 years) leading data management projects. Ability to organize, prioritize effectively and efficiently. Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
Blood/Marrow Transplant and/or immunotherapy clinical experience is highly desirable. Experience working with both pediatric and/or adult patient data in a medical setting. Experience with UMHS electronic medical record.
