Provide legal support and assist in management of legal risks of Prudential Hong Kong Limited and Prudential General Insurance Hong Kong Limited in a practical, solution-driven, proactive and collaborative manner.
1) Provide legal support for key designated areas / business units including:
Provide legal support on BAU matters e.g. drafting / reviewing / negotiating documents and contracts from legal perspective, providing legal advice on issues arising from such areas / business units.
Provide legal support on projects / initiatives including acting as Legal representative.
Act as Legal representative in committees / workgroups
Manage both internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g. regulators, clients' lawyers, law enforcement agencies), including coordinate internal responses as needed.
2) Assist Head of Legal and the Director to: Monitor legal and regulatory developments in relation to key designated areas / business units (but also keep informed of all such developments relevant to company business), and analyze legal implications of the developments (including any changes necessary to current documents / policies / procedures). Provide updates / training on such developments to other teams. Provide legal input for relevant consultation papers and draft codes / guidelines / regulations.
3) Provide legal support for areas outside of key designated areas / business units as needed.
4) Assist Head of Legal and the Director in developing and implementing legal policies / procedures to mitigate legal risks and improve efficiency.
LL.B degree holder and qualified Hong Kong solicitor, with at least 8 years' relevant experience from reputable financial institutions / law firms, including some in-house experience
Good working knowledge of HK insurance regulations
Good communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese. Besides proficiency in Cantonese, needs at least basic proficiency in Mandarin. Proficiency in WP software. Ability to type Chinese
