Avedon Capital Partners is a leading independent private equity manager with a proven track record of investing into outstanding small and medium sized companies who are leaders in their respective sectors. Our portfolio companies are headquartered in Germany and Benelux.
Today the team is made up of 22 people including 15 investment professionals with exceptionally strong and diverse backgrounds and experiences. The team is based in Amsterdam and Düsseldorf. Avedon Capital Partners manages three investment vehicles with over 450 million Euro of assets under management and has to date successfully invested in >40 companies across Europe.
The candidate will take on the role of business development / operations intern at our portfolio company Altendorf Group, the leading manufacturer of premium woodworking machines for carpenters. During your internship you will have the opportunity to work directly with the CEO and CSO, plus the responsible Avedon investment team, on shaping the growth strategy of the Group. You will spend the majority of time working at the company's HQ.
Typical responsibilities include, among others, the following:
Industry/market analysis and business review to identify growth opportunities, with a focus on the Group's sales & marketing strategy
Mapping of business processes and benchmarking with best practices
Identification of value creation opportunities, development of implementation plans and support in the execution of these initiatives
Financial analysis of strategic initiatives
Presentation of findings and analyses to the management team and Avedon investment professionals
What We Look For
We are looking for interesting and ambitious individuals with an outstanding academic track record, who will ideally have completed (or are nearing the end of) their undergraduate studies. This role requires prior practical experiences in relevant internships, with a preference for previous exposure to strategy consulting projects. You should be an absolute team player, possess strong analytical and commercial skills, have a self-starting mentality and be great fun to work with. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a can-do mentality are also important criteria.
