As a Dental Clinic Operations Manager, you need to know how to:
Provide direction and support to the clinic leadership to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and oversee the clinicâ™s protocols used.
Provide direct reports leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the clinic is efficient and effective.
Oversee the billing, coding, and processing of patient payments.
Establish & implement internal standards (systems/procedures) for effective, efficient clinic operations. This includes training the team to meet the standards and implementing monitoring systems for continuous improvements.
Provide clinical frameworks, guidelines and processes for: establishing high quality patient care/customer service standards, managing the patient journey, managing patient records; databases (updates, recalls, governance).
Act as a resource in the daily operations and activities of the clinic.
Coordinate daily work schedules including management of daily staffing and coverage.
Oversee active schedule management to balance patient access, schedule utilization, and continuity.
Support clinic leadership team in problem solving to address issues relating to patient safety, care and service.
Promote effective working relationships and work effectively as a part of the clinic team to facilitate meeting its goals and objectives.
Assist in development of capital planning and operating budgets.
Collaborate with the leadership team and providers to identify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Be responsible for Human Resource management functions including interviewing, selection, orientation, education/training, feedback, performance evaluation, record management, associate engagement, training and professional development and policy and procedure development
Maintain audits for medical/dental safety.
Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Maintain and oversee records regarding patient linking, population health, and care gap closure.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a management role in a medical office and/or dental clinic
Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
