This position is in the Department of OB/GYN Maternal - Fetal. The position is located at the Center for Outpatient Health. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
Position directs the activities of the clinical office, Supervises, coordinates and provides leadership functions for clerical staff, medical assistants, lab and x-ray technicians and nurses in conjunction with faculty practice manager.� Oversees personnel matters, maintains reports and acts as liaison between practice site and division business staff.� Responsible for maintaining optimal staffing practices.�
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises activities of the clinical office.� Reviews, assists, promotes and maintains development of office policies and procedures, office practices, and clinical flow patterns.
Coordinates patient services with physicians and staff to provide quality care in an effective manner.
Functions as working supervisor by filling in to cover front desk, medical records and billing functions.
Directs, assigns and coordinates activities and duties of staff, evaluating performance, orienting new staff, and advising administration of changes.
Supervises onsite charge entry, copy collection process, and maintenance of ARF and EDIT lists.
Maintains job descriptions for practice site positions, participates and assists in the interviewing of employees, acts to resolve personnel problems, prepares and approves staff schedules.
Assists in preparation and distribution of monthly reports such as financial reports, census, flow analysis and other requested reports.
Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings and attends practice sit division meetings as requested.
Promotes and maintains good public relations with patients/families.
Maintains and updates physician schedules in IDX as needed.
Facilitates educational opportunities for staff to ensure compliance with hospital, medical school and regulatory guidelines.
Monitors supplies and equipment, ordering/repairing as required.
Assists faculty practice manager and practice administration with strategic planning and generation of business plan.
Assists faculty practice manager with overall quality improvement strategy, collects, measures and interprets operational and clinical income data: identifying problems and organizing teams to develop and implement solutions; develop formal policy as indicated.
Equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of two years of physician practice management experience, preferably in a primary care setting.
Working knowledge of physician practice.
Demonstrated communication, organization, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Base pay commensurate with experience.
