Working closely with the regional COO for MVRM, build professional relationships with market risk managers at the regional and global levels to deal with Volcker and regulatory risk requirements
Key APAC market risk representative and point of contact for the front office for all Volcker related matters, supporting the Emerging Markets, Credit Trading and Core Rates businesses in the region
Key APAC market risk representative and point of contact for Audit and Compliance for Volcker-related audits and issues
Interaction with regional regulators and respond to their regular or ad-hoc information requests, leveraging risk manager expertise
Monitor the APAC (and global where it relates to Asia) regulatory landscape for new and amended regulation, assess impact on Market Risk and lead actions to close identified gaps
Your Experience and Skills:
Established experience (> 5 years) in market risk management or equivalent experience in an investment bank is essential, and exposure to a trading environment will be highly regarded
Broad asset class / product knowledge (preferably Emerging Markets, Fixed Income/FX or Credit)
Experience in managing regulatory change in a compliance or risk management environment
Well-versed in statistics with solid experience in using large data sets
Experience in working in controls design and documentation
Have an in-depth understanding of financial products and market risk measures;
Be familiar with Asian markets;
Be able to interact and build relationships with both senior trading and risk staff.
An excellent verbal and written communicator
Able to maintain attention to detail whilst working under pressure
A reliable team player motivated to work in a dynamic, international, and diverse environment
Able to effectively multitask in a fast paced environment; prioritize workload with minimal supervision
Education / Qualifications / Certification:
A graduate degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline
