Team Profile: The EMEA Market Risk Management Division ("MRD") is responsible for the independent identification, analysis, reporting and escalation of all market risk exposures arising from EMEA and UK Group business activities, acting independently of business management and providing an effective challenge process.
Primary Responsibilities: The client is seeking a Vice President level contractor to join its London based Equities Market Risk Management team (which sits within the Market Risk Department).
Core responsibilities of this role include:
Oversight and Management of stress testing effort for the equity business stress testing effort with focus on CCAR submission
Management of book of work for the stress testing function facilitating interaction between various stakeholders
Definition of SLAs, standards of documentation and processes
Prioritization of IT & work development with relevant teams
Documentation of stress testing for Audit, Model Review function and regulators
Support risk management function in implementation, setup and analysis of stress tests
Advanced degree, or equivalent, in a quantitative subject, mathematics or statistics
Experience in market risk stress testing, scenario analysis and capital is required
Understanding of stress testing processes and experience in project management is required
Knowledge of major regulatory processes and deliverables (e.g. CCAR, ICAAP) is strongly recommended.
Good knowledge of financial products is also essential, including an understanding of risk representations (including greeks and stress tests).
An excellent academic background or strong analytical background. Additional qualifications, such as an FRM, would also be looked upon favorably.
Experience in effectively managing small teams.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience would be strongly recommended.
