Provides technical and administrative research assistance to Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators in the Health Disparities and Public Policy Program. Coordinates, processes, prioritizes, and responds to matters involving education, research opportunities, and dissemination of research. Drafts and edits documents. Conducts literature searches, synthesizes information, and summarizes findings. Assists with preparation for presentations and meetings. Performs data coding, data cleaning, and variable creation tasks. Creates and maintains documents, spreadsheets, and databases.
Participates in the planning & conduct of research.
Prepares reports for investigators and sponsors on recruitment status and other pertinent study data, drafts and updates public relations materials summarizing lab work, and prepares packets and slides for presentations.
Completes documents associated with current local, state, & federal regulatory guidelines, requirements, laws & research protocols.
Organizes and maintains libraries of agencies, grants, manuscripts, slides, presentations, and bibliographies; files documents.
Organizes materials for teaching (syllabus, lecture notes, duplication).
Reviews and performs final edits on documents, checking for grammar, spelling, and logical inconsistencies.

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience and 2 years' research study or other relevant experience required; OR
Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a master's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Must complete NU's IRB CITI training before interacting with any participants & must re-certify every 3 years.

2+ years of experience with empirical research.
2+ years of experience working in higher education.
