The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the Moderna Project. They will be the conduit for information to and from the NIH. This position will ensure optimal efficiency, productivity and quality of all Moderna components; coordinate site performance reports for presentation to PI’s; and develop remediation and improvement strategies as needed. This person will work with the Research Nurses, Medical Assistants, Data Manager to facilitate the accomplishment of the aims of the grant and communicate progress and challenges towards meeting these aims to the research study PI’s. This person will also develop, review and edit of project plans to assure consistency with project goal while providing organization and facilitation of project meetings related to study activities (study organization, initiation, execution, and closure).
Responsibilities may include: Facilitate communication between the coordinating center, research personnel and NIH. Ensure that investigators and staff from external centers receive timely and accurate responses to study-related issues. Participate in the development and maintenance of written study documentation. Coordinate central training sessions. Conduct site visits. Collaborate internally in development and execution of data management systems for collection of medical information in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Collaborate in writing study lab procedure manuals. Develop specifications for data checks and monitor implementation. Develop specifications for analyses and tabulations for major study reports. Prepare written and/or verbal reports interpreting analyses performed.
Education and Experience:
Must have at least 3 years of clinical research experience. Must have a strong track record of independent management of a large research or treatment organization. Must possess excellent writing and communication skills Must demonstrate fluency in word processing, spreadsheets and desktop publishing.
