MXL operates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Typical shift hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, 3:00pm to 11:30pm, and 11:00pm-7:30am.

Impact of your work – Vision is a critical element in the success of each individual soldier and first responder. Whether the task is a pilot betting his life on his heads-up-display or a firefighter’s uncompromised vision in his respirator mask, you will help manufacture optics that provide clear, undistorted, flawless function.
Observes continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications.
Measures and visually inspects products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications with occasional use of precision measuring instruments.
Positions and secures product on secondary equipment such as fixtures.
Removes finished or cured products from tray; uses hand tools, air hoses and other equipment; stamps identifying information on products when necessary.
Handles products, packs them in containers, and places containers in appropriate locations.
Trims excess material from parts, using trimming tools including knives and degater.
Inventories and records quantities of scrap and finished products; requisitions additional supplies as necessary.
Performs repetitive tasks required in the creation of optical quality products using some or all of the following tools: eye loop, air knife, utility knife, air brush, stapler, nippers/shears, swivel knife, scissors, degater and any other tool found to be beneficial in the completion of the product.
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Communicates with co-workers, management, customers, vendors and others in a courteous, respectful and professional manner.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
Conforms to all safety rules and uses all appropriate safety equipment.

At least 5 years of proven, reliable work history
Excellent manual dexterity and fine manipulation skills
Manufacturing/production experience preferred
Experience in a fast-paced, quality-oriented environment is helpful.
