Coordinate with Territory Manager to work with independent agents and brokers (producers) and Underwriting to attain corporate objectives for profitable growth. Work with Territory Manager to attain profit, growth, and producer recruitment and management goals for a book of business. Provide competitor and regulatory information to market teams and management to ensure continued profitability, competitiveness, and product innovation. Serve as a portal to Church Mutual products, markets, and services.

Responsible for working with the assigned Territory Manager(s) to develop and maintain relationships with independent agencies and brokerages as assigned. Develop a business plan that incorporates specific broker/producer plans and identifies target prospects. Monitor business plan, including performing operational reviews. Build a prospect inventory.
Responsible for the profitability of a book of business for assigned agencies and brokerages. Work closely with Territory Manager and Underwriting to help coordinate underwriting decisions. Measure/monitor/communicate and adjust needs for the territory.
Manage selection and pricing of new and renewal accounts to develop a book of business that meets company expectations of profit and growth. Manage new business results to exceed established metrics' (e.g., quote/hit ratio) earnings rate.
Responsible for prequalifications of submissions. Oversee new business quote deliveries. Work with agencies and brokerages to help them in the solicitation of good profitable business.
Strategize with agencies and brokerages on all renewals. Have direct engagement on key accounts and involve Service Specialist as appropriate on large accounts.
Serve as a portal to Church Mutual products and services. Effectively communicate the organization's capabilities to independent agencies and brokerages. Coordinate Church Mutual products and services. Understand and sell Church Mutual to producers. Understand the capabilities and products within the Church Mutual family. Coordinate visits, cross-selling opportunities, and leverage producer management for cross?selling opportunities.
Provide competitive information to management which could impact our position on pricing and product.

Evidence of technical understanding of commercial insurance as well as a thorough understanding of marketing and underwriting, financial analysis capabilities, and customer service skills. This typically is acquired through a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the industry with emphasis on sales and/or underwriting.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or years of experience is preferred.
Possession of applicable sales licenses and/or the ability to obtain and maintain applicable licenses and continuing education is required.
Professional designation(s) preferred (i.e., CPCU, CIC, CRM, AIC, ARM).
Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels as required.
Demonstrate skills in relationship building, decision-making, negotiation, and communication, including effective listening, organizational skills, problem-solving, and business acumen.
Confident and highly motivated individual willing to travel within assigned territory.
Demonstrate initiative in responding to competitive situations and commitment to achievement of business goals and objectives.
Sales and/or marketing experience with a basic technical knowledge in product knowledge, exposure and financial analysis, pricing and selection, corporate systems, and PC knowledge.
Working knowledge of all functional disciplines.
Knowledge of rate making and rating plans.
Knowledge of facultative and treaty reinsurance.
Significant travel required.
