Under general supervision, the HR Assistant supports the assigned HR area(s) by providing administrative Human Resource support to HR department, staff and/or employees. Provide support to area through research of unit processes, assisting with unit specific policies, practices, projects and guidelines. May assist management with other administrative duties to ensure the smooth delivery of Human Resources services to clients.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide department function support by collecting, reviewing and organizing preliminary data and/or documentation as it relates to unit-specific functions and/or investigations. Compile financial and operational data from multiple sources to assist management in preparing and monitoring budget and/or other department reports.
Assist the administration of Human Resource initiatives, programs, policies and regulatory matters. Aid in the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies, procedures, laws and regulations as needed. May support other organizational compliance standards.
Provide Human Resources support to assigned department, employees and visitors when needed. Assist with Human Resources processes, forms, records and/or transactions. Maintain confidential HR files, documents and/or records. Work cross-functionally to support the administrative workflow of department functions.
Assist staff and management with reports, memos, letters and other professional internal and external correspondence.
Leverage Human Resources programs, tools and technology to support the administration of HR policies and/or procedures.
Provide support in special projects related to departmental and/or organizational needs.
Storefront team: newly hired employees, leadership and others, creating employee ID badges and processing I9 for employment, collaborating with parking office, facilitating the HR portion of the Return to Work process for employees and our Leaves and Disability Management and Licensure, Regulatory and Survey Support teams, partner with Immigration team as necessary, etc.
ROA team: Employee Referral Plan Audits and Processing, daily requisition distribution for to the Recruiting and Onboarding team, process non-onboarding cases such as interview scheduling, etc., update New Employee Orientation log with health clearance information, assist with New Grad interview events each quarter, a ssign cases to specialization queues as needed, assist with projects and other work as assigned.
