Job Description: The role of Recruitment Specialist is to increase the number of applicants for the Vocational Training Unit, with a special focus on recruiting for GWTP’s Woodworking/Solid Surface Manufacturing Program. This will be accomplished through management of the Unit’s recruitment outreach mechanisms and follow-up with those entities to ensure that vocational recruitment information is targeted to the appropriate individual and that he/she is made aware, by phone contact, of the opportunity for in-person presentations, either at their location or by visiting the GWTP training facility.
Key Responsibilities include:
Assist with creating recruitment goals and objectives for the Vocational Training Unit;
Participates in the development of student recruitment and retention plans, strategies, and written materials.
Creates and distributes resource materials for student recruitment and retention programs; develops partnerships with community programs; analyzes trends in recruitment and retention programs; develops strategies for program evaluation.
Prepares reports and proposals, and responds to inquiries from applicants and community organizations
Coordinate with Basic Skills Instructor to conduct outreach to unopened/returned Constant Contact listserv transmissions
Participate in jobs fairs, as appropriate
Present Vocational Training Program information to organizations, as appropriate
Provide additional recruitment assistance to Basic Skills Instructor, and Technical Instructors from both the Woodworking and Shipping and Receiving Programs, as requested
Assist with orientation and intake for the Woodworking and Shipping and Receiving Program
Represent the Vocational Training Unit monthly for CAN TV informational recordings, and staff associated phone technical duties
Comply with other staffing requests as assigned by Vocational Training Unit leadership
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or approximately five years of demonstrated experience in educational program recruitment/marketing
Salary and Benefits: This is a part-time, hourly permanent position. Hourly wage is based on skills and experience.
