Serves as the reference point for reporting for suspicious transactions from internal (including Core Compliance Services ("CCS") Trade Surveillance) and external sources (such as Regulators), and ensure these are duly investigated based on defined FCC standards and where reasonable grounds exist to support a potential predicate criminal offence and suspicion is formed, report or oversee the reporting to the applicable authorities
Supervise the AML/CTF Program requirements and controls framework and is accountable for the day-to-day operations and implementation of the requirements
Manage and maintain positive relationships with local regulators including dealing with the regulatory reviews and information requests.
Represent CS to participate in industry discussions involving AML/CFT topics.
Coordinate with the Regional FCC Advisory functions for alignment
Tracks and interprets all AML-related regulatory developments and engaging Compliance and General Counsel, as appropriate, ensuring necessary standards are reflected in local policies, process and controls. Ensures the completion of gap analysis and implement required changes.
Seek to ensure the maintenance of relevant AML/CFT country policies and standards, where applicable in addition to providing input on training.
Performs the annual enterprise wide risk assessment including acquiring the necessary senior management endorsement, and represents FCC as appropriate at location risk management Committee
Ensures that the results of audits, inspections and compliance reviews are bought to country, business and FCC regional management's attention and that any remedial actions are duly effected
Develop and maintain the appropriate governance and management information mechanisms and processes to ensure country, business senior management and FCC APAC management have sufficient information on FCC risks and the health of the FCC Program
Provides advice on AML/CFT functions with a particular focus on PB and support applicable to location Board and Senior Management, engaging them on risks and priorities.
Owns AML/CFT exception approval process including providing mentorship to relevant teams (i.e. Compliance Operations) to ensure compliance. Providing inputs into RRRP from FCC perspective based on inputs provided by Client Intelligence.

Degree qualified and prior experience as MLRO or Deputy MLRO at a major financial institution. At least 10 to 12 years of financial services with a big part required to be in Financial Crime and AML capacity and ideally within the PB space
Proficiency of Singapore AML/CFT laws and regulations applicable to banking as well as international AML standards. Additional awareness of regional rules would be beneficial. Experience in handling the regulator and auditors
Ability to deal with a large book of work across a broad spectrum of activities as well as prioritize and deal with high stress or time compressed situations
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and can work in a fast paced environment
Proven track record of people management
Convincing presenter with strong ability to engage with and influence senior management.
Outstanding leadership with the ability to be strategic in achieving the best possible outcome for the team and the firm
