JOB SUMMARY The employees number one job responsibility is to deliver optimal medication management across all dimensions of care every time. In this role, the Pharmacy Grant Writer will be responsible for developing high-quality proposals, collaborating with all levels of pharmacy leaders, researchers, and administrators to develop, edit, and complete scientific communications (grants, manuscripts, protocols, reports, regulatory applications, abstracts). The Individual will be expected to search and identify potential funding sources to support clinical services that will improve the patient experience. The emphasis of the position is primarily in writing/editing of grant proposals at advanced levels for submission to a variety of funding institutions. Serve as expert advisor to staff, clinical pharmacists, and pharmacy residents.
Degrees: Minimum four-year degree required, Master's in a related area preferred (public health, health administration, English, journalism, communications, etc.)
Work Experience: 3 years minimum experience in scientific/medical writing experience, including grant proposal development required and Prior grant writing/grant administration experience required
Management Experience: 1-2 years preferred
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact) Writing /Composing (Correspondence / Reports
Proficiencies: MS Word, P.C
