The Nurse Manager holds 24-hour accountability for the quality of patient care, efficiency of operations, and human resources management for the assigned departments. Patient care and services are carried out in collaboration with hospital administration and the medical staff and in compliance with organizational goals and appropriate regulatory agency requirements.
Manages daily operations of assigned units; promotes a positive and professional environment; supervises charge nurses and front line staff; maintains a stable and productive staff; involves staff at all levels in Shared Governance and Magnet Forces; makes data driven decisions.
Minimum Education:â¢Bachelorâs Degree in Nursing requiredâ¢Masterâs Degree in Nursing strongly preferred* Masterâs Degree in Nursing may be in lieu-of Bachelorâs Degree in NursingMinimum Experience/ Knowledge:â¢Minimum of two yearsâ experience in a formal management position required with at least four yearsâ experience as an RN required.Required License/Certification:â¢Valid California Registered Nursing license requiredâ¢Current BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Associationâ¢Current ACLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Associationâ¢Specialty certification preferredâ¢Los Angeles City Fire and Safety Certification. If employee does not have Los Angeles City Fire and Safety card upon hire one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
