The UofSC College of Pharmacy (UofSC-COP) is seeking an experienced scientist and manager to initiate a vibrant research program between the UofSC-COP and our college partner, Nephron Pharmaceuticals. Nephron Pharmaceuticals is a leading manufacturer of generic respiratory and 503B outsourcing medications. This individual will be responsible for establishing a vibrant research program supporting and expanding initiatives with Nephron Pharmaceuticals that includes the isolation and structural elucidation of biologically active natural products. Additionally, the successful candidate will spend approximately 40% of their time teaching within the graduate and professional programs in the area of medicinal chemistry and participating in department, college, and university-level committee service as assigned.

Advertised Minimum Qualifications :

The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. or equivalent and will also have a track record of developing a research program within their specific area of expertise. Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills as they will be expected to participate in the delivery of graduate and professional educational offerings, with an emphasis on medicinal chemistry topics.
