As an HRIS Specialist, (MP5 Personnel Associate) this position will work as part of the HRIS and Compensation teams and will be responsible for writing, designing and/or modifying report queries as well as preparing and presenting report summaries, dashboards and presentations related to HR and Compensation data. Overall goal is to provide accurate data in a timely manner, while safeguarding sensitive and confidential information.
Duties of an HRIS Specialist may include the following but are not limited to:
* Writes and/or modifies report queries in PeopleSoft upon request.
* Utilizing advanced excel features, creates both summary and detailed reports and dashboards on the status of HR regulatory requirements including annual required education, professional credential expiration dates, annual physicals, performance programs, performance evaluations, permanent appointment packages, etc.
* Bursts/parses reports and develops dashboards at the department level and distributes to department heads and above in accordance with established time frames.
* Develops and presents department head and executive level presentations on the status of compliance items and/or other HR strategic and tactical initiatives.
* Collects information on needed changes and updates to employee data and in collaboration with HRIS Manager and other members of HRIS, makes any corrections needed in order to ensure data accuracy.
* Responds to questions related to reports and/or other questions in a timely manner.
* Coordinates with other HR units all correspondences to employees, supervisors, department heads regarding employees who are not in compliance for key items, such as Annual Physical, Annual Require Educations, Flu shots, etc.
* Additional responsibilities surrounding compensation market salary data, internal salary data, and salary history analysis.
* Compiles market salary data, internal salary data, salary history etc. from multiple sources for appropriate classification, compensation, and organizational soundness.
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience to include HRIS software experience, complex data aggregation and reporting.
Advanced Excel Skills including experience with pivot tables, look up tables, nested if statements, conditional data formatting, count and sumif statements, charts, graphs and other advanced features.
Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including mail merges.
Exceptional communication skills both written and oral. Must be able to communicate with clarity and brevity to large and varied audiences up to and including those at the executive level.
Prior experience writing queries in an HRIS or comparable system.
Prior experience writing advanced queries using functions, expressions, inner/outer joins, and other advanced features.
Familiarity with Joint Commission Requirements.
Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements.
Prior experience with PeopleSoft.
Experience working for Higher Education, Public Employment, and in a diverse and unionized environment.
Experience working in a healthcare environment.
